Paper Pom-Poms

(Style Me Pretty)

(the SCOOP)

I was chatting with another mom today about planning our kids' birthday parties in advance. Kalia will be five in October, and I have honestly been thinking about her party for a while now! I asked for this Martha Stewart Pom-Poms kit for Christmas last year, and plan on using them to decorate for Kalia's big day. The last photo is a Lilly Pulitzer pom-poms set if you're more interested in her color selection. Aren't they adorable?

  1. Is the first photo from a wedding celebration? The bright colors really work with the light background. I'm just wondering if it is possible to incorporate these in designs outside of a party context.

  2. Nicolette - The first one IS from a wedding...and I have actually seen plenty of photos where people used these pom-poms in a nursery or kid's room. I would LOVE to display them on a daily basis, but I'm just afraid that would create some serious dust issues! I was thinking about using mine for the party, and then storing them in a big ol' rubbermaid until the next special occasion. Oh! I have also seen them on covered porches, or even hanging outdoors...but I'm not sure how durable they are for anything long-term. Somebody needs to come out with a washable, fabric version! :)
