Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of purple - but I can do lavender! I think this is my very first "ode" to any shade of purple on Pickin' Cute. I wanted to appease any purple-lovers out there. I really do like the wall and sofa color in these photos, and I actually like to wear this color. Are there any colors you wouldn't use in your home? Would you still wear the color?

Ruthie Sommers & Domino

I saw this photo on Swish and Swanky today, and it brought back memories from when I first saw it on the cover of Domino magazine. I absolutely fell in love. The room was designed for Drew Barrymore, by Ruthie Sommers - a designer I greatly admire, and became very fond of - thanks to Domino! Did you have a favorite Domino cover photo? Man, I miss that magazine. If you were a subscriber, have you found a good replacement?

Craigslist Sofa

I have been scouring Craigslist for the perfect dining table, and found the perfect sofa. The only problem is that I already purchased a sofa a couple years ago. We are really disappointed in how the pillows have (not) held up, but at least we HAVE a sofa, I suppose! This brown Norwalk beauty that I found on Craigslist happens to cost less than the one that we purchased a few years ago, and I would imagine that it is in very decent shape, since it has only been used for photo shoots. I can't stand it when I have regrets...but it makes me feel better to share this good deal, and maybe I can help this baby find a good home!
